AIT for ADD/ADHD

Berard method AIT is one of the few programs that is helpful for the treatment of ADD/ADHD (Attention Deficit Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder). AIT has been shown to normalize hearing and the way the brain processes information. Often we find that a key element with ADD/ADHD is distractibility due to hypersensitive hearing or other sensory issues. AIT can help normalize the senses so that improvements are seen in focus, attention and ability to concentrate more easily even in noisy environments. In addition, there are fewer times of feeling "over-loaded," better ability to have appropriate behaviors and improved academics. AIT is a good pre-curser to other therapies and educational components as once the functions are more normalized it allows the individual to utilize other therapies or education and training programs more effectively. Once improvements in behavior and learning begin to occur, we often see improvements in mood and social skills as well.

AIT uses filtered and modulated music to help stimulate the audiological and neurological systems. Since AIT uses sound, which is vibrational, going into the areas of the brain where all the different glands and organs are that control different senses and systems of the body, we often see improvements not only in the hearing but in other areas such as vision, taste, smell, touch, balance, coordination, and hand writing among others.

Programs are individualized for each person based on a pre-screening evaluation.

"I can 'filter out' the background sounds! It makes it much easier to hear my teachers. I'm doing much better in school."

"My husband's aphasia went away! He no longer mixes up pronouns and can find the words he is looking for. Also his digital coordination has improved. He said he knew it had because both typing and piano playing have improved. We are so grateful for the changes. Even his mood is better now. Thank you."
