My sincere thanks for your anecdotal record of the patient in a coma. I do believe AIT is a powerful tool and is able to change lives and can address far more neuro-integrational conditions than what we’ve been considering over the years. I have two patients in my practice, who, over the past 6 years started walking after AIT, one at age 7 and the other aged 8, who had never walked before. Both children had cerebral palsy – of course, if we understand the workings of the inner ear, we’ll know that the fluid in the cochlea is continuous with the fluid in the 3 semi-circular canals of the vestibular system – stimulate the one system, you are inadvertently also stimulating the other system. Stimulation of the vestibular system is powerful as it regulates cortical tone…. Doing AIT on patients with brainstem related injuries or malfunction, can therefore, theoretically “re-set” the Reticular activation system and greatly assist in mobility and other cortical functions.
